Within the VSTE activities, extensive project activities take place, with the main objective to fulfil the long-term plans of the school. Currently, the school focuses mostly on continuous and systematic improvement of quality, deepening the cooperation with the application sector and increasing the graduates’ employability. The VSTE research teams are very successful in obtaining projects of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TACR) and the projects administred by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The school strives for involving the students in its research activities, for example by means of SVOČ (Studentská vědecká odborná činnost – Student scientific and research activity), where the students can apply their creativity and improve their rhetorical skills. Students are also involved in internal grants and competitions, where they can present their innovative ideas, practicial skills or unusual projects. The school also organizes professional meetings, seminars, and conferences, and its academic staff regularly publish in peer-reviewed journals. —
