Accommodation

The VSTE dormitory is situated on the 6th floor of the D Building in Okružní 517/10, České Budějovice.

The D building area located on the ground floor offers amenities such as the main reception, seating area, the ATM, and a coffee stand. Students may pick up their mail from the reception, and it is the reception that also provides detailed information regarding hall of residence rules and communicates directly with the accommodated students via notice boards or emails.

Rooms are double-bed rooms and accessible from a small hall with a shared bathroom and a toilet. Each room is equipped with desks, chairs, wardrobes, and beds. The students are allowed to have their own radio and a computer that students can connect to free Wi-Fi.  

• The kitchen is equipped with a microwave and a stove-a hob.
• All students must follow the dormitory rules, and payments must be made on time. The night silence starts at 22:00 and ends at 6 a.m. All accommodated students must follow these time rules.
• Bed linen change is possible once a week (at a specific time).
• Automatic washing machine: 50 CZK / 1 use (or 4 hours). All prices include taxes.
• Smoking and alcohol consumption is not allowed.

The price of accommodation is 4,200 CZK/month, and the amount must be paid no later than on the last day of the previous month. There is an accommodation deposit of 8,400 CZK, which is refundable as long as there is no damage, and it is payable at check-out.  Students may pay by credit card or in cash in Czech currency. No other currency is accepted.

VSTE also offers accommodation at a partner dormitory, Hochtief, located 1 km from the main campus. The 7th floor is available to international and Czech students and is equipped with a kitchen. The price and hall of residence rules are identical to those of the on-campus VSTE dormitory.

VSTE cooperates with the Pedagog dormitory, a modern lodging facility offering single and double-bed rooms. You may contact the Pedagog reception directly:  recepce@kolejepedagog.cz. The price in January 2025 is 6950 CZK/month, and a refundable deposit must be paid at check-in.
